Elaina Wagner is a E-500 hr RYT (Experienced registered yoga teacher) through Yoga Alliance and certified Thai yoga therapist through Deon De Wet, who holds her Bachelor’s of Science degree in Psychology from Endicott College, where she graduated Cum Laude.
Yoga: Growing up with yoga, organic farming and health conscious parents, Elaina has been able to practice yoga for the past 20 years and has been teaching yoga for 8 years. At age 18, Elaina obtained her Hatha Yoga training through Central Mass Yoga & Wellness, Inc. Elaina began teaching student athletes and her peers at Endicott College’s fitness center in Beverly, MA. As adjunct faculty, Elaina taught a 1-credit course to students at Becker College in Worcester, MA. She has taught at McLean Fernside (substance abuse rehabilitation), at UMASS medical to staff, Ann Marie College to staff and students, at Holly Branch mental health retreat for women and various local yoga studios. Through her work, Elaina takes interest in working with chronic pain, PTSD and athletes.
Thai Yoga Therapy: In 2013, Elaina obtained her Thai Yoga Therapy certification from Deon De Wet of Ojai, California. She says, “When I first saw Thai being performed, I knew instantly that this was going to be my career.” Once Elaina received her certification, she practiced on friends and family, whom all noticed the multi-dimensional benefits from Thai. Elaina has also studied Table Thai with Robert Wootton of Asheville, NC., Thai Foot Reflexology at the Thai Institute of Healing Arts in Arlington, VA. She plans on traveling to Thailand one day to take a course at The Old Medicine Hospital and to experience the beautiful culture & people.
Living & Loving Life! Elaina now resides in Cornelius, North Carolina with her Siberian husky and significant other. During her down time, Elaina enjoys hiking, biking, kayaking, relaxing on the lake, movies, eating organic, researching, painting, live music, yoga, traveling, fashion, photography and spending time with friends & family.
