What is Thai Therapy?:

Thai Yoga Therapy also known as Nuad Boran originates in Thailand and was founded by Jivaka Kumarbhaccha, whom was a doctor and yogi that treated the Buddha.

Northern Style Thai Therapy is a meditative experience for the client & practitioner in which includes a combination of acupressure, cross fiber, joint mobilization and assisted yoga-like stretching. The Thai session is always done clothed, with no oil and on a thick cushioned mat.

Thai Therapy follows an intricate network of 72,000 sen (“pathways” or “lines”) throughout the body. The acupressure points are found along these sen, which are used by the therapist to stimulate or relax the body’s energy (lom), thus affecting the body and mind and resulting in promoting the natural healing process. Furthermore, Thai is always done in a similar sequence with varying stretches or focal points depending on the client’s individual needs.

Wear clean, fitted gym or yoga clothing.

For added comfort during Thai stretches, it is recommended for men to wear compression shorts.

Shoes and socks will be removed for the session.

1. Please arrive at least 10 minutes early to fill out paperwork, check-in and unwind.

2. Please keep talking to a minimum during the session for complete energy work and body/mind/spirit restoration. For deeper cellular enhancement, you may request a positive mantra for Elaina to silently repeat as she works on you.
